I have a good credit, but best loan rate that I can get to buy a used truck is 8.1%. That’s crazy .

Are you checking credit union rates? AFCU is lower than that.

Yep. I saw credit union rates between 4-6% last week depending on new vs used.

You can get lower if you massively overpay for the car which isn’t smart to do

We did. Bought my wife a Hyundai Santa Fe and used Hyundai finance. Got a 2.9% rate with them.
