got 6.5% on the loan from the dealer. I went in pre-qualified with my bank at 6.79. My credit is 812. I bought a 2019 Honda Accord with 43k miles.

Are you checking credit union rates? AFCU is lower than that.

Yep. I saw credit union rates between 4-6% last week depending on new vs used.

You can get lower if you massively overpay for the car which isn’t smart to do

We did. Bought my wife a Hyundai Santa Fe and used Hyundai finance. Got a 2.9% rate with them.
