Agree. I think most who want it just want to make sure Utah doesn't come along..
... to the Big12, and SDSU is a former MWC foe of both that would get the spot instead of the Utes. Or as a defensive play against PAC surviving.
Pretty shortsighted IMO. They don't bring value. They do bring a nice destination, a decent TV market (that they don't dominate), and proximity to all the so cal recruits... but not much media value. Would be a financial drag.
