Why nothing will happen at least until the end of June...
1. It appears unlikely that any Pac team can announce they're leaving the conference after June 30th and be in a position to play in their new conference in 2024.

2. Colorado and Arizona (and, perhaps, other schools as well) don't feel like they can make any decision about leaving the conference until they see the details of the new Pac media deal, partly for the sake of PR.

3. It's clear that Oregon and Washington want to go to the B1G. What's unclear is whether the B1G wants them now, later, or never. They are certainly holding out hope, and there have been reports that the Ducks and Huskies have been vetted, but who knows what, if anything, is really going on regarding Oregon and Washington to the B1G. I don't see the B1G taking the Ducks and Huskies in the near term.

4. Most reports indicate that the Pac must choose between somewhat decent money and limited exposure or a little better exposure and less money. Neither option will be a winner for teams that feel like they have options. Given that, it makes perfect sense for the Pac to drag its feet finalizing and making public their new media deal. If they can somehow maintain the status quo until July, then the chances are good that they'll be able to keep all 10 remaining schools at least until 2025. And who knows what will happen in the next 2 years.

So, CO and AZ want to see the deal before jumping, even if they've already kinda sorta made up their minds to leave. But the Pac is slow playing the media deal in an attempt to drag things out. So, in my opinion, it will all depend on what decision CO and AZ make as June comes to an end if there is still no Pac deal. Will they jump without having that? Or will they kick the can down the road and wait to see what is in the deal sometime in the future, and then make plans based on that? Bottom line, if we get to July 1st with no movement, the Pac will be staying together at least for another couple of years. If there is movement it won't happen until the end of June, especially if there is no Pac media deal between now and then.
