As a CO resident, I agree. It was also the 3rd busiest airport in the world '23

so that doesn't help. It's actually a good connection airport to fly through, which is what most of the traffic is. But the parking situations are terrible, security is awful, trains/baggage claim/rental car as you mention, etc. It's a terrible home base airport that's for sure.

Yes, if booking flights you use DEN. Locals always refer to it as DIA.
