my morning commute has a two lane stretch that ends at a traffic light where one lane is a left turn only lane and the other is a to go straight/ turn right lane. Majority of cars want to go straight but there's an obvious disconnect on where the appropriate "zipper" merge point should be.
A)Most go early (to the disagreement of this thread)
B)some try to merge 0.25 mile before the light when the dotted lane divider becomes a solid white line (but then usually have to come to a stop until they can get in, clogging the lane for the cars behind them who dont want to change lanes there)
C)and some purposefully (and aggressively) merge in the intersection from the left turn lane.
Which is correct?
