That means P5 schools are being added to the Big12

And it likely means UCONN wasn't willing to come in as basketball-only.

And that would be tough on multiple levels. They would still owe a $30M buyout with a more meagre basketball-only B12 payout to pay that down that debt. They would be out on a island trying to start new rivalries with Texas Tech and Iowa State? It just didn't make sense.
