Actually shows he’s still in negotiation in mode with rest of PAC schools on GoR, probably around revenue splits.
Could totally see a scenario where Washington and Oregon insist on 1.5x share if media deal is at or below $30mm per school. They are done subsidising PAC and will want revenue to build up programs before next realignment round.

Cal and Stanford bring nothing to the table athletically but all the other schools want to leverage their academic reputation through association so they probably have leverage to insist on 1.5x shares.

WSU and OSU have the profile of a solid MWC school. They are a drag on revenue and academically weak schools. Put them at 0.5x shares.

That leaves ASU, Utah, Arizona and Colorado at 0.75x shares. I could totally see Utah and ASU agreeing to that. Both these schools would probably play for free to be in same conference as Stanford and Cal. Even if it means they take subordinated athletic role due to lower funding.

Arizona and Colorado are more confident academically and so I would be surprised if they are willing to give up a lot of revenue to Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford just to keep conference together.
