typing teacher. Straight out of a 50s tv show. She would stand in the back and shout, " 'A' strike, 'S' strike, 'D' strike, etc." Trying to give us some rhythm. After a while we took a timed test. She had these half sheets of paper we would use for our tests. You would put the paper in your typewriter, take the test, then take it out of the typewriter, put your name on it and how many words you typed and then we'd do another test. We would do this two or three times each class. Then you turned in your fastest one.
Well my buddy noticed that she never really paid attention so he would leave the same paper in his machine for all three tests and slowly hunt and peck his way through the three tests all on the same paper. She would praise him for being so fast! We all got a good laugh watching him do it. High school kids are the worst.
