...one of my best friends used to boast about his typing speed and skill. Right before a typing speed test we'd reach over and flip the tab on the top of his typewriter ball thingy (old days using electric typewriters) without him realizing it. When the teacher would say "start!" he'd hit his keys and the ball would pop out of the carriage and go flying across the room rolling to a stop somewhere. He'd have to run and get it and then put it back on and resume. Other kids would sometimes kick it before he could get to it to keep him chasing it. By the time he'd corral it and put it back on and resume typing he'd have maybe 10 words done.
Another thing we'd do in the middle of a speed test was reach over and quickly hit their return button causing it to move to the next line. Or throw stuff and try to hit keys on their typewriter to cause mistakes. I'm surprised we were able to pass the class with how much we were always sabotaging each other.
