I thought I needed something urgent from my wife, and I had just tried to call her with no answer, so I texted her saying "Hey sorry to bug you [she was in a meeting of sorts], call me back as soon as you can. Please."

A moment later, my good buddy from work called and we caught up. I was surprised he called, and it felt kinda awkward at the beginning, because he was like "hey, what's up" and I did the "oh not much, how are you?" We ended up having a good chat for a bit.

I hung up and went to text my wife back because I'd realized, while speaking with my friend, that I didn't need info from her after all. As you are now aware, I saw I never texted her in the first place, but instead asked him to urgently call me.

I did call him back and explain why it was so awkward at the beginning of the call. I am still chuckling about it.
