It appears the Bylaws are in the process of being amended. No parade just yet

I am sure the new comers balked at the 99 year requirement based on the always changing landscape of conferences and the conference agreed to amend it accordingly. To suggest Utah is always going to be exempt and has some sort "most favored school" status forever is misplaced IMO. I will give them credit for balking at the requirement, but folks acting like this is evidence of some huge negotiating long-term win is odd to me. The language of the Admission Agreement, seems to suggest to me, that a revised Section 1.2.3. is forthcoming.

"(i) Utah shall be bound by the provisions of the Bylaws attached hereto as Exhibit B (with the exception of the membership term of 99 years as currently drafted in Section 1.2.3; provided, however, that Utah agrees to be bound by any change to Section 1.2.3 that is effective prior to and after the Commencement Date)..."

Utah still sucks, even if the reports by their fan boys are like the Penn State (1984coug, Mar 7, 2024 at 10:08am)
Much ado about nothing. Sorry, Utes. Good luck in your 10 XII games and @USU. (mulletino, Mar 7, 2024 at 9:39am)
If Utah moves on to other things, can we kick all Utes off CB? Please? Too good for Big XII means too good for CB, yes? (Yllage Vidiot, Mar 7, 2024 at 9:21am)
