I only planned 1 day to get out and see the outlying areas from Rome. Normally, it’d be a no-brainer for me to drive, as I like to get out and explore.
But I’ve listened to 2 podcasts in the past couple days which both say driving the coast pretty much sucks (narrow roads, traffic) and advised against it strongly and unanimously.
So I’m (re)considering the paid tour bus option. Day trip to Positano, Pompei and Amalfi Coast. Good reviews but long day with a lot of fellow tourists in a bus.
Thoughts?
