Both can be true; we're fans and overestimate our attractiveness...but his analysis is ALSO very flawed
For example, I know very few BYU fans who would say Utah is more attractive than BYU.

But Utah has better viewership, better on-field success (for the last 20 years at least), better recruiting, a bigger city (BYU's dispersed fanbase is tough to assess so I won't fault someone for failing to adequately address it) and is an easier fit (just due to the religious/conservative nature of BYU)

BYU has a ton of potential to improve as a new P4, but I can get why a fair analysis would put them ahead of us. They simply require less projection.

So (now that I've made everyone here upset) hopefully you can understand that my issues with this analysis are not a "Boo! I don't like where he ranked my team" whine-fest, but a critique on the results not matching reality (I'd delve into the data/methods more, but they aren't shared).

UCLA is not more desirable than LSU or Texas A&M. Stanford is not more desirable than Florida St or Clemson. Cal is not more desirable than UNC or Miami.

And yes, even accepting that we as BYU fans overvalue the attractiveness of our school, BYU is not less attractive than Wake Forest, Boston College, Cincinnati, or Vanderbilt.

With a day's effort, I could put together a simpler, better version of this. And it wouldn't necessarily have BYU high, so people here wouldn't like it ...but it would be better
