Alan Schaefer Walk-on
Finally was able to see Dune pt.2 I give it a 9.5 out of 10 stars. (Spoilers)
And it’s only not a perfect 10 because Christopher Walken was so weirdly miscast. So weird. But at least it didn’t hurt the movie too bad.

It’s a masterpiece of a film.

I believe it’s most likely the largest, most stunning, most spanning, massive, “epic” ever made. It just felt….. HUGE and real.

Best SFX ever. I am a CGI snob, and I didn’t notice any bad CGI. Incredible.

I think Frank Herbert would be very pleased and proud of Villeneuve’s vision and version.

Villeneuve, Nolan, and by Winding-Refn, are the best filmmakers in the business right now.

Timothy Chalamet is a really good actor in my opinion. If you haven’t seen “Bones and All” and can stomach some pretty graphic and disturbing stuff, he’s really good in that movie too.

I neve read the books, though I’m setting a goal to do it now. So I have a couple questions for those who have:

1. Is Jessica the Baron Harkonnens daughter in the books, making Paul and Alia half Harkonnen? Or is that just the movie?

2. Was there a secret stash of “Atomics” in the book?

3. At the very end when Gurney tells Paul that the other houses rejected his appointment to the throne, and Paul tells his people to go find their green paradise…did that mean they were gonna goto war with the other house, and was that his people loading up in the emperors ships to go battle the other houses in space?

*lastly, is that Austin Butler actor the new Samuel L Jackson of Hollywood where he is in every movie that comes out? Lol. He was good as Fey Rautha, but I liked the Sting version better.
