lasers hitting shields = no bueno
Both the laser gun and the shield unit blow spectacularly up so you kill yourself.
Shields attract worms faster and angrier which is why the harvesters can't use them and are vulnerable to lasers themselves, but the thopters that stay in the air can use them.
