believe that Kentucky hasn't been shelling out the greenbacks all along, even before NIL, and achieved their success only on their tradition of being successful. So, to imagine that they'd rest on their laurels of their "tradition" of success doesn't sound true to me. We've heard that at the elite programs there was money flowing long before NIL started and I'd have to believe KY was doing it as well to get so many 1 and dones pass through their ranks.
If what you suggest is in fact true, then it would be foolish for any "name" person to take the KY HC position. They would experience the same challenge and not be able to have the success needed to sustain a coaching job there.
