qualifies for a win. Case in point. Cubs starter throws 4 2/3 scoreless innings and is pulled with the Cubs up 5-0. He does not qualify for the win because a starter must throw at least 5 innings to qualify. Cubs reliever comes in. If he gets one out and then gets pulled and the Cubs win without relinquishing the lead, he gets the win. Or, if he gets one out and gives up 4 runs he still gets the win if the Cubs hold the lead. Just ludicrous.
