This is correct. When I stay at any Marriott that has a club overseas if I’ve told them what time I’m checking in,
They meet me in the lobby take me up to the club to check in, typically upgrade my room, and have some food in my room waiting for me. In the US, I get my room upgraded sometimes and that’s about it.
