Pope did a nice job at BYU, nothing exceptional above what Rose, Reid, Cleveland
Anderson, Arnold or Stan Watts did. Pope was a good coach for BYU. The next coach will be a good coach for BYU, and hopefully will stay longer. That isn't faulting Pope for leaving. He probably quadrupled his income and went to his Alma Mater. But it was clear to me that like Bronco, Pope was never going to finish his career at BYU. Maybe the next guy will be like Rose and end his career in Provo.
