I've been wanting to go hike those for quite a while, and my last trip to Honolulu didn't allow for it for a variety or reasons.

My question for anyone local is, now that they've officially announced the demolition, do you see a ramp-up in enforcement at all, or are the authorities turning a blind eye for the last few weeks of the stairs' existence?
