That ship has sailed!
Enforcement is up big time and demolition is scheduled to start sometime in May, per Mayor Blangiardi. $1000 citations still apply.

You can still get to the top from the other side of the mountain, but it is a longer, tough hike that can be very slippery when wet. I am bummed, too, because it has always been on my bucket list, but the hefty fine deterred me. There are several great hikes that are legal.
