Promote. If Colin Chandler wants to represent himself, his family, his AAU club, or his local library, that he’s a member of, That is all encapsulated in himself. These things along with the church are the things he represents, but the only thing he will be promoting is the University of Kentucky, their sponsoring institution, and their board of trustees.

At BYU, you represent all of those things plus you promote the university, it’s sponsoring institution and it’s for trustees.

This is why you can be a good member of the church at the University of Kentucky but you don’t promote the church at the University of Kentucky.

I believe that a nonmember who plays at Byu for four years promotes the church more than someone who goes on a mission and play somewhere else. The Missionary work move isn’t for everyone I guess.
