This one time:

videos of the HS drill team started going around on Snapchat. Those videos then got screen recorded and started going around the HS. It was so bad that the entire drill team was shut down (disbanded) and girls were expelled and suspended**. The school then had to have assemblies about the dangers of having the video's on their phones (child porn and sex offender violations).

Soon after videos from the football locker room were seen being passed around (nothing as bad as the drill team... just dudes in underoos) but soon after all social media was banned from the football program during the season. (you would be kicked off the team if you were caught on social media).

It is rumored that during a fall camp trip (away from the school) somebody dared another kid to do something 'offensive' (to this day nobody will say what).. however, the coaches found out and the players in question transferred out of the school. No video, nobody talked, its something we as parents still talk/wonder about.

** Most of the drill team ended up transferring to a local charter school. while at the charter school, About 1/2 of them were caught drinking (directly from the bottle) alcohol in the lunch room... on camera.

You learn a lot of things you wish you didn't know the deeper you get involved with HS sports (friends with coaches & principles, member of the booster board... etc)
