To be fair, it's easy for families/coaches directly related to try and downplay
these things. When you see it negatively affect your kids and their team that is having a lot of success, you want to justify and downplay things. It sounds like most families are upset about what happened, including the fact that it sounds like there were lots of nude photos shared on that Snapchat group, but most want to just tell their kids not to do that anymore, and move on with a successful sports season.

It's also easy for those on the outside to act outraged. It's hard to go to the middle ground and figure out that probably all the kids need to face some consequences for participating, but some of the kids probably deserve some mercy as well. For example, all the kids involved should probably face some time for suspension. Some probably need to be removed entirely from the team, and others probably deserve a more lenient suspension. It's always hard to try and place yourself on the other side and view the issues from that side.
