When I graduated from Yucaipa hi, a buddy and I hiked up to dollar lake
And hiked around Mt San Gorgonio and then down to Hell For Sure flats or Canyon to the headwaters of Whitewater river. What a great view, I caught a little brown trout about 6 in. Long in a yard wide shallow part of the river. This was in 1962.

Does the PCT go up the Whitewater River Valley after you cross I-10 or does it get past San Gorgonio another way?
