$43k in sales. $2.3k in loss merchandise from theft. That's 5.3% in shrinkage
Retail projects 2% in shrinkage a year. Right now my numbers are much worse than that. Because we are a new business We are getting targeted by the trailer parks and transients due to us being new.
The city told me I can declare the thieves as a trespass and block them from entering the business ONLY AFTER I catch them in the act.
So for the next few months I have to watch all these shoplifters prey on my merchandise until I can control the issue.
