Mark Pope is public enemy #1 right now to BYU. He just took one of our biggest recruits ever and is maybe on the verge of taking more of our players. Pope isn’t doing us any favors nor should we be happy for him hurting BYU right now. Kevin Young obviously will try to help salvage the carnage happening right now because of what Pope has done. Sports are competitive and I don’t have to root for the guy hurting our program right now. In the long run I’m convinced BYU will be better off having Pope leave for Kentucky, but in the short term he is no doubt hurting our program. And quite frankly that is how sports work sometimes.
