Thank you coach Pope for a good 5 years of BB progression and a very good start in the Big 12.

You gave us hope and terrific entertainment and set the stage for our lifer, our Lavell Edwards of BYU basketball.

The Youngs love the gospel and they love dwelling among the Saints in Provo.

We couldn't have come along as well to this point without you. We were a little sensitive when you left rather abruptly. We were dejected, even though we knew you dreamed of Kentucky and its cultural cache. We don't have that yet.

We thought we would have to settle.

But contrary to the pessimists here, BYU does get the nicest things. Committed, inspired people who also happen to be smart, beautiful, and who are all in on BYU basketball.
