That's all true, but people are talking like KY can take a
non-NBA player and turn them into an NBA player. If Hall has NBA talent, KY may be the guy to get him closer to that level than other coaches. But if he doesn't, KY isn't going to be able to wave a magic wand and make him an NBA player.

Your initial statement ("If Hall wants to be an NBA talent, he needs to return and play for KY") could be interpreted both ways...

"Hall has NBA potential, and KY is the coach that can help him maximize that over the next year or two compared to other coaches" or
"Hall doesn't have NBA talent, so if he wants to acquire it, he needs to return and play..."

When you say "If Hall wants..." it sounds like you're saying if he wants to get something he doesn't currently have. NBA talent isn't something you can just acquire. Plenty of people with NBA talent don't make it to (or in) the NBA for a variety of reasons... poor coaching, poor work ethic, injuries, bad luck, etc. But no one without NBA talent will make it in the NBA regardless of how good their coaching is.
