I think it will eventually go down. . . Majority of P5 schools financially red
The recent Pac12 numbers came out, revenue vs expenditures don't look good.

I don't know how these schools deep in the red continue to finance these major money losers.

Like Cal-Berkley, without instutional support they are almost $40 million in the red, and the campus just bailed them out on over half the cost of their football stadium no one shows up to.

Or the University of Utah which Booked "a $1.8 million profit". Article linked below mentions "The Utes received $10.2 million of [campus support] and $6.1 million of [student fees] last year. The total campus support of $16.3 million was about $5 million more than in previous years and slightly above the conference’s average of $13.7 million."


Long story short, even with Utah's recent success with the quality Rose Bowl losses leading to higher ticket prices, Utah needs more donations to both Athletics and NIL if they are going to keep up in this financial arms race.
