For this season at least, the change from Pope to KY is going to be a negative for the roster. Just the reality of it, especially with timing.

Most players are already committed and aren't going to reopen their recruiting due to a change at a different school (even Kozlowski came available more due to changes at USC than at BYU). But all the BYU players/recruits will be evaluating options.

So this off-season is going to likely be a net negative with the change from Pope to KY. But it's important to realize that doesn't say or imply anything long term for KY when he has more runway to recruit
