If you don’t really have a lot of pain, I would seek a second opinion
There is rarely a rush to get a shoulder replacement at 55. I struggle with that statement that everything is going to be way worse and harder in 10 years. A shoulder replacement isn’t a slam dunk and you might have complications or worse pain after the surgery (especially if you don’t have much pain now).

Be smart and thorough and have a chat with a more conservative surgeon.
