you obviously put a lot of thought into your post, crafted with well-reasoned thoughts underpinned by a desire for young athletes to value things more meaningful than significant amounts of instant cash that they don't even have to fulfill any commitment beyond signing up in order to receive and it didn't quite elicit the kinds of responses you were hoping for. I'm sorry for that, but this is a mostly anonymous collection of people--idiots, mostly, who are here for various reasons and very few of those reasons are deep, meaningful discussions about sacrificing immediate gains for long term success.

Some of us are here because we believe we have been called to correct any and all perceived problems with the athletic department--mostly suggesting personnel changes because, although we are drawn to teams from this university, we are also convinced that our lack of knowledge about what is happening is due to incompetence by those who are in charge. Some of us are here to let the rest of us know that we know something they don't, but don't worry, it's going to be good. Some of us are here to make fun of you--you being anyone who posts here because there is a lot of fertile ground here for that sort of thing. Some of us are here because we hate you and enjoy seeing people squirm when things are not going well for them. I could go on and on, but what I'm really trying to say is, if you are looking for maturity, you might be in the wrong place, or you need to craft a very clever and robust filtering system.
