it? In most cases, I agree with you about the truly smart aleck responses, but sometimes a "goofy GIF" or a well-timed and clever joke lighten the mood a bit and brighten the day.
The posts that I personally find much more irritating on CB than those that you referenced are those that drop cryptic hints and tout connections to FO groups and insider knowledge in a "neener-neener" type of way.
I do always appreciate the tidbits from folks sharing what they honestly know (at the time), even if it ends up being a little off in the long run. And those few who dare to share observations from practices, etc. (Texas3Step comes to mind — thank you!). We need more of that on this board, imo. In fact, I'd pay monthly for that type of information.
But that brings me to my next point. To me, the worst of the posts on CB are those in which we eat our own. Constructive criticism, disagreements, calling out the "misses" and/or what amounts to bad info in hindsight is one thing, but sometimes that goes way over the top to me, and oftentimes in a very ignorant way.
