Players get compensated for how they finish as usual AND bonuses for hitting X number of events and certain events, rotating each year players to events. So sponsors can be guaranteed they get star players every other year let’s say. And they just announced today big loyalty payouts to players.
In my opinion, where the tour has screwed up is making the bottom end guys irrelevant. It was very interesting to watch Q School and watch players battle it out at the end of the year to keep their card. That is essentially gone. It’s really ruined the human interest part of the Tour.
But nobody wants a shotgun start or 54 holes or guys wearing shorts or music blaring. It’s embarrassing.
And if 72 holes of golf and getting paid is so hard that you just can’t do it, I hope you break an arm and never play again.
