I'm so glad we got to end the season with John returning to his gritty, sailor-mouth self as they were pulling his boat out of the water. That was the best John IMO.

I also really enjoyed watching the Yabushige arc. The actor did a phenomenal job.

Great series that left me wanting more... But it's over and, frankly, should not be renewed for another season. This was an epic series that shouldn't be tainted by half-butt attempts to add more material.
