They follow Hiroyuki Sanada around as the Producer while he is on set. Also, it was filmed here in the States, so all the Japanese actors had to be brought over here for filming, along with the construction of all the set pieces meant to look authentic. They really went all out and created a great series.

I'd like to see somebody do something similar around the Genghis Khan story.
