I'll give you an Aggie's perspective on Hillstead
This one hurt because he was supposed to be our QB of the future. You guys got an extremely talented QB.
Even though he showed limited action last year, it was clear he was the most talented QB on our roster. Good arm, quick release, accurate, and decisive. His style of play reminds me of Sam Hartman of Notre Dame/Wake Forrest.
He's young, but he showed some real flashes against AFA, James Madison, and UCONN. He then got banged up in the UCONN game and wasn't the same after that. He played against SJSU and played ok, but our O-line got it handed to them that game, so I won't hold it against him.
If healthy, I would not be surprised if he's your starter Week 1.
