It's seems really hard for some on here to just say, "hey, I'm with ya." For some it seems to be so much more fulfilling for their egos to be immediately and demonstrably critical for all to see, and to try to look superior by describing anyone who may be disappointed, or somehow unhappy, as a completely out of touch ninny, who's opinions are nonsense. Or worse, their opinions are just "stupid," and they deserve to be ridiculed and belittled for daring to have an opinion that is different from their own, or "fragile" enough to have a feeling of disappointment.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not threatened by your ridicule in the slightest, just sad. I've had enough life experiences that you could scarcely imagine, that something like your ridicule is like "puppy poop" in comparison to some of the things I've lived through, and come out on the other side, hopefully more humble and more empathetic for it. I'm just sad, and "disappointed" that such divisive "rhetoric" is taking over the discourse on a site, where so many who post would claim to strive to be Christlike. It's really disheartening, tbh. Even more than Pope's recent behavior, or even a loss to the Utes.
Let me tell you, it's much more rewarding to try to find ways to build people up, than it is to flippantly tear them down.
