This reminded me of my BIL. He had cerebral fat embolism syndrome after breaking his femur and tib/fib in a dirt bike
race.

His brain was still in healing mode months later, but he retested for his driver's license and was able to be back on the road eventually.

He was scrolling social media when he read this same fact (55 mph is more fuel efficient than 85), and my in-laws just happened to have booked everyone rooms and a fun weekend in southern Utah to celebrate how far he had come recovering from his accident.

He drove from Payson to St. George with his embarrassed wife and two young children going between 50 and 60 the whole way. He was so proud of it.

We couldn't help but laugh and give him a hard time, but we also couldn't help but feel for the poor souls on the road making that same trip at the same time.
