RE: Good places to live in/near Boise?
North Meridian area (North of Ustick). By Meridian temple so lots of members. New shopping and food places. Central to the treasure valley. Where I live so I'm biased but it is a great place.

South Meridian: South of the 84. Tons of new builds out here. Even more central to the valley with close access to the freeway. Not as much shopping and food options depending on how far south you are. Any place with new builds will have higher number of church members.

Central Meridian: Older and not as nice

Eagle: more expensive and higher taxes. Nice area but 500k won't cut it here

Kuna: growing fast but the commute is terrible everyone drives to boise and there are only two main roads In and out. I have coworkers that take 1 hour plus to get to work.

Nampa and Caldwell. Further out so less expensive. Not as good schools but lots more charter school options. As long as you aren't central but the outskirts with new builds not a bad option. You get more house for your buck here.

Star: has nice new areas but not close to the 84. Basically a step below Eagle and further away.

Boise: I'm sure there are nice pockets but you basically want to go out to the outer edges which gets you into these other suburbs anyway. If anything do South Boise.
