When I was a teenager at Burger King, the rumor was that our general manager was a former drill sergeant.
She always had a scowl on her face. No one ever chit chatted with her. Everyone feared her. When I graduated from HS and put in my notice, I just dropped the letter in the manager’s office when I knew she wasn’t around. In fact, I’m not sure I ever spoke to her because I was so dang afraid of her.
