It's amazing what a difference it makes to have one kid gone from the house...
One of my kids is up in the mountains for a school over-night activity, and the house is so quiet and peaceful.
It's the case when any kid is gone like this, but in this instance it's compounded because the one who's gone is also the loudest, most physically aggressive, and interpersonally annoying of all my kids.
