I heard Jeff Probst say that one thing they like about 90 minute episodes...
is that they can do the opening sequence (where they play the song and show all the contestants and their names)
he said there were other things as well (talking more about people's back stories, etc.) but that's stuff I don't really care about.

I prefer it this way. The time at camp is the only interesting stuff. The challenges are often the worst.
