These are players. There's not going to be a non compete clause. Also
non compete clauses were just ruled illegal by the FTC. There will be lawsuits over it and will most likely end up in the Supreme Court. But currently, what you just said about Nike is actually illegal.
And even if it was still legal, the players are not in a non compete situation.
