State. It doesn't matter where you go to college. If you are an NBA player, an NBA team will draft you. Kentucky has produced a ton of NBA players because they land a ton of 5 star recruits. But if you're a 5 star recruit with NBA body, skills, and athleticism, you're going to make the NBA regardless of your school choice. NBA front offices invest a lot of money to find good players. They'll find you. Even if you don't get drafted, you're gonna have opportunities to make the NBA. Summer League, training camp, free agent mini camps, and the G League are all options to make an impression. Heck, even playing in Europe can lead back to the NBA.
