There is no visibility difference for NBA scouting departments between UK
and BYU. They already have opinions, information, tape on all of the top prospects before they even hit college campuses. They have analytical data on everyone, they can get the tape of any kid they want to see, and they can get that tape broken down by play types. They will see hundreds of prospects through the pre-draft camps, and by bringing players in for workouts/interviews. If you're not one of the 60 players drafted and are one of the hundreds of players who plays in the G-League or a top foreign league, they will also have seen you play in those leagues.

NBA scouting departments are so thorough that there is no way they just sit down one Saturday and turn on the tv and see that Kentucky is playing and realize there is some dude playing that they've never heard of before that they all of the sudden think is an NBA prospect.
