Is there a safe way (product) to put down a grass killer at the base of trees to provide clearance for the trunk?
I have seen this done around sycamores but a quick skimming of articles online suggests this can only be done with certain varieties of trees.
I have several trees that have grass around the trunk which makes it an issue when trying to keep the grass maintained and my understanding is the grass also competes for the water as well without any clearance.
Thoughts?
