The first point is mostly meaningless. He signed a NLI, BYU would have to honor his scholarship.
Now, can they all but show him the door, or tell him he will have a diminished role, or really encourage him to look elsewhere? Sure. But if a player really put their foot down and said, nah, I want that scholarship, it’s theirs. So point #1 really means nothing IMO.
